About the salon
Faitcy Beauty Salon Ltd operates a professional hair and beauty business in Liverpool, providing appointment-based hairdressing, natural hair care and beauty services to a diverse client base. The business operates through its salon and mobile services and also develops retail opportunities for hair extensions, hair accessories and hair care products. We are focused on building a strong local brand, increasing repeat bookings, expanding customer acquisition and developing sustainable commercial partnerships.
The opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to lead the salon's commercial growth. The postholder will develop new revenue channels, build partnerships, improve customer acquisition and retention, and turn market insight into practical campaigns and sales activity. This is a hands on commercial role working closely with the Director and salon team; it is not a hairdressing or routine salon administration position.
Key responsibilities
-
Create and deliver a business development plan with clear revenue, booking, retention and partnership targets.
-
Analyse local demand, customer behaviour, booking patterns, competitor activity and service performance to identify commercially viable opportunities.
-
Develop new client acquisition channels through local outreach, referral partnerships, digital campaigns, events and community engagement.
-
Build and manage relationships with wedding and event suppliers, hotels, photographers, fashion and beauty businesses, educational institutions, community organisations and other suitable referral partners.
-
Develop commercial opportunities for bridal and event hair packages, group bookings, membership or loyalty offers, gift vouchers and other salon services approved by the Director.
-
Support the growth of retail hair care sales by identifying suitable products, promotional opportunities and customer education campaigns, subject to the salon's supplier and pricing controls.
-
Prepare partnership proposals, quotations and presentations and negotiate terms within agreed authority and margins.
-
Plan campaigns with the salon team, monitor enquiries and conversions, and ensure promotions reflect actual capacity, pricing and service standards.
-
Maintain accurate records of leads, partnership discussions, campaign activity and outcomes using the salon's booking and customer management systems.
-
Track key performance indicators, including new client acquisition, repeat booking rates, average customer spend, campaign return and partnership revenue.
-
Prepare monthly performance reports, forecasts and recommendations for the Director, supported by reliable sales and customer data.
-
Represent the salon professionally at local business, wedding, beauty and community events where relevant.
-
Ensure business development activity follows company policies, data protection requirements, advertising standards and approved brand guidelines.
Essential experience and skills
-
Proven experience in business development, sales, account management, partnerships or a comparable commercial role.
-
Evidence of developing and converting new business opportunities and delivering against measurable revenue targets.
-
Strong commercial judgement, including the ability to assess pricing, margins, campaign performance and return on investment.
-
Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and relationship management skills.
-
Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret customer, competitor and sales information.
-
Ability to plan work independently, manage a pipeline and maintain accurate business records.
-
Competence in standard office, customer relationship management, booking, reporting and digital marketing tools.
Desirable experience
-
Commercial experience in hairdressing, beauty, personal care, hospitality, retail or another appointment based consumer service.
-
Experience developing referral networks, membership or loyalty programmes, events, group bookings or retail product sales.
-
Knowledge of the Liverpool and Merseyside market and relevant local business networks.
What we offer
-
A permanent full-time position within a growing Liverpool-based hair and beauty business.
-
The opportunity to play a key role in shaping Faitcy Beauty Salon’s commercial growth and expansion.
-
Direct collaboration with the Director and salon team, with genuine responsibility for developing new business opportunities.
-
The opportunity to build partnerships across the hair, beauty, fashion, wedding, education, retail and local business sectors.
-
A varied commercial role covering customer acquisition, partnerships, campaigns, events, retail opportunities and new revenue streams.
-
Professional development and the opportunity to take ownership of projects that have a measurable impact on the business.
-
A professional, inclusive and customer-focused working environment.
-
The opportunity to contribute to the growth of a brand that operates across salon, mobile and hair-product retail services.
